My way

So, a lot to write, a lot of stuff out...
a lot of elves, in all sauces and colours *laughs*
But believe me, what I enjoy most and have fun are those penguins, I love penguins.
I LOVE PENGUINS!

*grins and goes to hell*
Merry Xmas, enjoy the New Year's Eve, eat, drink, sleep, make love and spread the good and bad of life!

The Creatives of Doom

The Creatives of Doom, originally uploaded by Alia Baroque.

*laughs*Nevermind the title. Rouge and me getting ready for the event "Passions of Black Swan" by rezzable. Rouge's Liquid flowers are showcased and part of the show, lovely fantasy cute outfits that make me giggle all the time when wearing them.

A wonderful event, a beautiful evening and explosion of creativity. Thank you Rouge for letting me be your full perm male attachment for the defileƩ ;)

Summer Updates

I tried to have a few times some vacation, but seems I am not having good luck for the weather and other matters, I will try again at the end of August, let's hope for some relax :)
Here are a few updates and various things I released:

Ascension tattoo dedicated to Elementals, with the usual rune colours, plus electric and two blacks, and 4 versions for each to fit the various skins and moods.

Glowing hands with the same colours of the tattoo to add a bit to your look, two versions in each colour.

Uh? Group freebie, that? What the hell...
Uhm, ok I was in one of that silly strange moods I got often, actually full of fun and good vibe. Not only you can furnish your flat with the last televeision released on market, but you'll be the biggest Hottie on the beach and the Extreme successful guy or girl on parties!

Oh, well....
I also finished the male High Elven skins, this is the wrath version. Skratching my scalp hard for the girls now, wish me good luck!

Beltaine and a new presence appearing

Finally some days of Celtic Fair in my City, and yesterday I enjoyed this great band from Poland, Beltaine. If you like the genre, is a must listen ;)

And the singer's voice is absolutely wonderful. Some break from Sl posts.
To end here's a Jethro Tull love share.

My path to the Island

I am getting nostalgic, all fault of trying to clear the mess of my snapshots placed in complete chaos in folders of any genre in my SL content folder.
Just the snapshots of my main avatar made me smile and remember howlong the journey was in just less than a year, to not consider my SL experience in all directions and metaverses.
At the end I decided to speak about the Island starting from the beginning and my first Main Stores, which maybe someone of you still remember, seems a whole life! *laughs*
SL is so quick, I hate that in a way, and I miss my old Temples, even if the last one I will keep still, not sure why. I just feel it as home, as all the places that welcomed you (and me) before.
*/me presses a button and a dry click is heard from an old strange machine showing ruined pictures...*
Want it or not, everyone starts as a newbie. Here's baby Alia, 7 days old more or less, wearing her noob hair but also her exquisite high couture shirt and pants which I almost forgot I have in my inventory, a bad first attempt. I am sitting on the throne of Hell, I guess, in the deepest grounds of CoLA, and after something like 5 seconds I was freezed and ejected, could not return there for quite long. I am still asking myself why. Now I am tasting my light vengeance hoping who sits on that throne wears my skin *laughs evilly and sadistically*...ehm, well, nevermind.
Alia noob, paragraph closed.
Allright, allright. I know, that pick is awful, no need to underline it. It's the only one I have of the inside of my first shop at the first build of Pitmosh Skull, I so loved that place, they trusted me and gave me that place for free. I remember the first panels, snaps, etc. (took behind a black wall in the shop itself, so the shop size got half and anyone could cam on me making noob poses naked with demo hair on, loved it! *grins*) I admit, in my first period I was quite lazy in taking snapshots, now I regret it. You can see my first skin Ishtar's panel with the button skins still blank, not sure of the graphic solution still. OF COURSE, the Sinead O'Connor look is wanted...I would so love to have some picks of the Shop's outside! (making auto-flagellation)

My First Land, rented at Sandy Cove. The first time I started to bring shape to what I wanted my SL to look like. The Bigger Temple at Stardbroke was built mostly creating a double composition of this, so I consider this one the original Temple, inspired (not a reproduction) by the Bed of the Pharaoh, located in Egypt.

Other picks taken in my first Land and complete home.

The Temple at Stardbroke, which most of you got to visit while alive and pulsing. I already decided I will keep it and probably rebuild the Bed of the Pharaoh Temple more faithfully not having the need to place my products inside, also will see it as my home, together with the Island of course (damn, how many homes do I have? hahhahah, idiotic me).
I only left and took away The Elemental Acropolis, since I think their new home is more appropriate.

I had a wonderful time there, events and just meeting new people, feeling warm and in good company. I am still thinking I could be without the Island and keep my shop there, sometimes I am not sure of my choice, but it was time for a change, and to have finally a dream I was thinking about long: complete freedom of build, terraforming and environment, Selidor.
But all that will never erase Taog's macho pose and me and Rouge dancing as perfect brothel slaves to entertain visitors *laughs*
Will miss you old Temples...

Other picks from the Second Temple at Stardbroke.

You cannot imagine..or maybe, well, you can, how I felt when my Island appeared. The name I chose was a tribute to one of my favourite books, and it was there, with all that prims and land, and everything. And I knew the time that will follow will exhaust me and drain all my energies untill I will feel it's enaugh ready to open it to everyone. More than a month took from this pick, and 3 attempts of building the Main Temple, but I already had in mind more or less How it will look, I drawed a map a month before I even ordered the Island, so that place took shape itself since I continued to dream it while sleeping and see where most of the things shall be.

You can see I flipped a few things while dealing with the real feeling and size of the Island, technical issues and so on, but mostly the idea remained the same.
The turbo building, night and day with Rl work breaks started, and I am happy most of it it's finished; I admit at the end I was starting to almost hate it, good I decided to end it and leave things, and prims, for the future.

Toxic princesses working in the Vegetables garden, green thumbs and black lungs! Moments of complete madness usually involved Rouge saving me from my heremitic style of SL living on an empty and deserted Island and taking me out of auto chatting with prims loud, shouting at dolphins moving in weird ways, arguing with sculpted prims and my patological need of detail where actually is not needed. Rouge, knowing my brain illness and terrible attitude in 'let me finish just that' will pop up and lead me to enjoy what I actually was doing (thanks Shade for your great creations!).

This could also include situations like that, me entering a complete fictional fantasy realm and new evolving personal character, and she, of course, floating with the urge to take a bath in a 50's pinup bikini and heart eyeglasses while scripting a chair and doors. (Love you Rouge, thanks for all what you did! Expecially the timed Doors so I don't have to follow each visitor and close the doors behid them, that's an obsession that wil lenver leave me)

Light Wave's Angel statue needs a special description.
I fell in love with this Masterpiece of Sl art long ago, admired it, and knew that sooner or later I would need to have it at fallen Gods, rappresenting perfectly an idea that merges together with the Fallen Gods concept itself, something more than a fallen angel, or not?
Balance, statical dynamism, visual stasis and perfection, I so hate it was on sale, it always distracts me ;)

Other picks taken in this period of building and ideas.
I hope you'll enjoy your stay and you'l llike Selidor, there's a big piece of me in that Island, which is a Land full of hidden things ;)
Thank you for taking time to read that.
Yours, Alia

Baby's got Bowie eyes, lost on an Island...

Starman Prim eyes created by Rebel Xtravaganza.
Rouge wearing the eyes to show the fitting on a different look than Starman. Thanks for making them my Dear :) She is still thinking if to make all the colours for that kind of eyes, so please send a note to convince her to make them! I find those eyes giving quite a strange unique look to any kind of Avatar. Another small info: I am building my Island, so stay tuned ;) Yours, Alia.

The Return of the Thin White Duke

...throwing darts in lover's eyes...
Is there anything rational I can say about how much I adore that man? The artist, complete he is, his songs, his acting. A skin tribute to the greatest of all, by my opinion. I wanted to make those skins like months, and the templates were waiting and waiting, Lately between RL job and SL maintainance, the Island and a lot of other things, seems I cannot enjoy to do ideas I wait from long to complete. Well, at least here is one. Hope you like it people!(and thanks for reading those blurbs).
Rouge from RebelX will soon place also the prim eyes near the skin panel, since this man has one eye different from the other, and I hope one day I will manage to make some outfits too. I hope you enjoy the videos I will place here to enter the magic of this Man. Yours, Alia.
**Possible new releases: Elven Skins + Elven Outfits + Two tanned skintones for both genders + One female portrait skin + "Kiss" skins + A lot of other stuff + A whole Island! ;) **

Elementals Full Moon, April 20th, 1pm SLT

Delayed at 1pm, sorry!
I must admit I am grateful to nature to not allow full days of bright sun and warm wind, and let clouds cover the hills, mountains and sea, otherwise I would lock the computer and spend most of my time out there :)
There is a lot I am on lately, from new skins to a complete series of outfits and add-ons Elementals themed. I can anticipate there will be an event at the Temple soon celebrating the Elementals, and spring is the perfect moment for it. The full moon of April, Sunday the 20th, will be the first Day dedicated to them. The Event itself would be a meeting for all who enjoy the Creatures of Ancient Runes, with the launch of new products and gifts for that day, in a mystical environment dedicated to fun and time spent together. I anticipate also that I will host the Event in male shape, so don't get shocked :P, together with Rouge, owner of Rebel Xtravaganza (see her clothes upstairs in the temple, and her sets of glowing eyes ^^). Here's a pick of the outfits in progress, and I sincerely hope for bad weather so I can finish all in time! Hope to see you there in your Ancient form, and not only ;)
Yours,

Alia

Personal thoughts about my work

I made my first skin in October 2007, Ishtar. I downloaded the avatar template and started to paint it, will not tell you how much I sweated to make it work right, not using any 3D software to test it. I would paint the breasts stroke by stroke (and see the nipples do strange things), then the belly, then will place highlights on the knees, draw the ears, and sometimes would realize I will have to plain it more since the join parts are really a nightmare, but I enjoyed doing it. Every mouth stroke, line, going from micro brush to a big one taking out the highlights and adding shadows, was giving birth to a new character.
I never thought at the time Fallen Gods will grow so much, be exposed and known. Even if not a top classified, I miss being in the shadow lately. In a way I loved to be a corner creator not known, to sell only to a few people liking my painted style, but I am grateful with all my heart to all that supported my work in all the ways (I am so happy you like what I do!). But now is different, and I am alone as you most know. I do everything you see there, and try to follow all. I am not fond of malls, I believe an avatar is a human being behind a monitor liking my work and wanting to be part of my vision, Fallen Gods will never be a mall, and will not turn into a realistic line of skins to match the general vision of SL trends, and RL ones either. I realize my skins are not perfect in many ways, and the new series will correct aspects I did not think of when first creating my skins, but the style will not change.
I will not change my attitude over the Temple, saw as a place to welcome you with gratitude for having interest in what I do. My creations are a result of our interaction, what I do and what you like. And if we meet this makes my day, my week, my month.
But the only thing I cannot change is myself and my vision. My girls will always look a bit horseface, longlegged and with temper expression, as my boys will go from Conan-like to Yaoi-gay style. I paint them as I like to see them, and if we don't meet I am sorry. If I start doing things only because the major request is upon it, the commercial and trend one, I will lose enthusiasm and give up. The freedom of SL for creators and designers, illustators, scripters, is to actually have their own passions take shape in SL, as for others is to live it into it. We already have our business and commission limits in RL, so at least in SL we try to break them and go on our creative path, as we do it in the way of living SL itself.
I needed to write this post because since more exposure, I found people requesting that I stick more into the usual line of style in skin-making; already a lot of great designers offer products that fit those realistic styles, and on the other hand is like asking a pre-rapphaelite to paint in expressionist style. Probably this matters are no interest for you, but I can say I decided to stick on my vision, keep on doing things and have the new series of skin with a few details more, but always under my "place a stroke there, it could work..*brusssh*" style.
I thank you with all my heart for liking my imperfect bohemienne skins and my messy Temple, and keeping in your support, I hope I resist against the evil omologation industry
Yours,
Alia

The Fallen Gods Idea

I would like to open this first post with a picture of the Temple taken by a dear friend, Skoge, because it rappresents in a way the approach and idea I had of my creations in SL.
I started a small shop at Pitmoshskull, the owner, one of my dearest friends, give me space in the middle of it when the Sim was a lot more different. From the start I felt that I would never be able to have a Mall, or a shop as it is usually seen... The Temple for me means a place to meet, to enjoy, to relax, have fun and then only at the end to look at what I have to offer. The usual way of shopping, as it happens in RL too is a very stressful one, made to push you in buying more than you can, to do it quickly. Well I have a different view. I prefer recreating a rl atmosphere that is forgotten, impossible or too much dated in the past, realistic but impossible to recreate outside of a movie set, or SL :)
So I welcome you to my Temple, Dear Fallens, to enjoy the warm sunset breeze, the Trees moving and stroking each other and the quiet retreat for who wants to reborn in communion with my vision of Beauty.
Yours,
Alia
