This year's Live Auction is looming and soon to start, and I always wonder where does the time go... perhaps a lot of work with interludes of friendship, silliness and joyful camaraderie which is always the best part of Fantasy Faire. As introductions go, this one might as well be decent, so I could get to the point: I didn't manage to finalise the builds, yet, but despite this I am bringing them to Live Auction. As I dramatically and with a strong self-flagellating tone state in the poster, I have a very bad track record. My guilt trips and remorseful conscience trips, (lots of tripping) got me to literally have nightmares those past couple of years about working on the rezzers to finalize the builds.
I discussed with Elizabeth if it was faire to not give Fairelanders the option to own a piece of the region just so I can feel better, or go ahead and bite it, so am biting it. There's a major difference this year that makes me confident I shouldn't struggle so much into finalising and preparing the builds for the winners, because I had complete control over the build due to meshing it myself, while in the past i used resources as templates and built a lot with primitives, texture alignments and overall making it work for the region, but failing to see them as standalone pieces. So every time I wanted to improve them before giving them out, which led to literally years passing by. I find it disrespectful to make people wait for so long, no excuse or reason, for how much valid, really takes away the fact that I made a commitment and I didn't yet deliver on it. So this is my apology to those that are still waiting, and also my hope that for this round I won't be such an otter disappointment, otters need love too. Grateful for the sometimes blind trust,
